Stamattina siamo tutti un po' provati dalla festa per la partenza di ieri e dai preparativi per il raid. Una buona colazione nel piccolo B&B di Tarvisio dove abbiamo passato la notte ci dà una mano a connettere e così, prima di ripartire, facciamo un check dei ricambi ed attrezzi con noi: tutto ok, non abbiamo dimenticato niente. La giornata è tersa e fresca ed invoglia ad andare in moto :meglio così perché ci aspettano oltre 600 km sino a Budapest. Strade veloci ma trafficate, visto il periodo, attraverso l'Austria sino al confine ungherese, dove una battuta in romano di Maurizio indispettisce un suscettibile ed antipatico doganiere. Non ci curiamo di lui (anzi Carlo lo manda “al caldo” in veneziano) e proseguiamo attraverso un tratto di strada normale che ci rallenta un po'. Gli ultimi 100 km sino a Budapest sono di autostrada; arriviamo nella capitale ungherese verso le 19. La sera cena nel caratteristico centro storico di Buda, dominato dal suggestivo castello, e poi…a nanna. Saturday morning we woke up in Tarvisio; though the night was short: in fact we would probably need some longer sleep to get rid of the last two intensive weeks of preparation. A nice breakfast in the quiet B&B helped us back on the move. After reorganising the various bits and pieces in the car and bikes it looks like we didn't forget anything… (hard to believe, we'll see soon enough!)
The sky is crystal clear and the temperature is very pleasant: perfect weather for riding ? that's fine as we have about 600 km to Budapest. Mostly motorway through Austria, we stop for lunch in the lovely town of Hartberg and we quickly get to the Hungarian border. After a little misunderstanding between Maurizio and the unfriendly austrian officer we are in Hungary facing a long stretch of normal road; the change of landscape and the small villages we drive through, are a nice diversion from the monotonous (but quicker) motorways. Anyway for the last 100 km we are back on the M1 and we are in Budapest around 7 pm. We strolled through the castle district in the old Buda; after admiring the breathtaking view over Pest across the Donau river we spotted a nice little restaurant for some typical hungarian dishes. Now it's really time to walk back to the Hotel to catch some sleep. 今朝はメンバーの皆は昨日の出発式や今までの準備に元気を出しすぎてしまった様子が現れていました。昨晩泊まったタルビシオのＢ＆Ｂは美味しい朝食で我々をもてなしてくれました。そしてメンバーで部品などのチェック。忘れ物はなく問題なしでした。 一日は新鮮でバイクで進みたい気持ちで一杯でした。それでよかったのです。なぜならハンガリーのブダペストまでは 600 キロ以上もあるのですから。ロードはスピードも出ましたが、バカンスの時期なので交通量も多かったです。オーストリア国境を通過する際にマウリッツィオのローマ弁によって不親切な税関といざこざとなりました。 彼に気にしいている暇はなく、道は一般道に戻り、スピードも落ちます ブダペストまでの最後の１００キロは高速で 19 時ごろにハンガリーの首都に着いたのです。夕食は美しい城のあるブダ旧市街に行き…そして眠ります。
