Appena fuori la citta, rimaniamo incantati dall'attraversamento di deliziosi paesini, le cui case in legno sono abbellite da coloratissime porte e finestre, come tradizione in Siberia; un po' di colore riscalda il cuore nei gelidi inverni.

Dopo una quarantina di chilometri ci fermiamo in un caffe frequentato dai camionisti provenienti da Vladivostok, per chiedere notizie della strada che ci aspetta.

Le informazioni sono frammentarie e contraddittorie, ma capiamo che il percorso non sara agevole.

Comunque almeno questa tappa sara sicuramente asfaltata.

Ci stiamo inoltrando nella vera e selvaggia Siberia ed il paesaggio diventa man mano piu aspro e solitario ed anche gli insediamenti umani diventano sempre piu radi.

La sera arriviamo a Chita, un tempo insediamento militare, e dove sino a qualche anno fa terminava la strada attraverso la Siberia; per proseguire non c'era altro modo che prendere il treno, appunto la Transiberiana.

Ora da un paio d'anni pare sia stata realizzata una strada, di cui non riusciamo pero a conoscere le condizioni; da domani comunque lo verificheremo on the road

Siamo emozionati e tesi per le incognite che ci aspettano e fatichiamo a dormire, anche se siamo veramente stanchi; tra l'altro appena arrivati in citta abbiamo dovuto riparare l'ennesima foratura al pneumatico posteriore della moto di Carlo.

Whilst we drive out of the city along nice villages of wooden houses nicely decorated and freshly painted, our young guide, Darima, tells us about the buriat ethnical minority, which she is part of. After years of repression during the soviet regime they manage to preserve their culture and they are now free to live their own way. Too bad we don't have time to visit some of this families. Instead we drive through wonderful scenary of forest, hills, ponds…

We stop for a coffee and we ask some more information some of these drivers with their japanese cars. No matter how much we ask the answers are always very different though we know for sure is that normally it takes them 5 days to come from Vladivostock, though they drive in pair and stop only few hours per day. We have no doubt we can get to Vanino though how long it will takes us? Where will we be sleeping? In emergency we have tuna fish, then and sleeping bag, so there we are: we just have to do it!

Once again we arrive in Chita early evening, the hotel is already booked and soon we are at the restaurant. This is our last comfortable place. Tomorrow we shall see…

ウランウデから新しい道を進んでチタに向かいます。ゆったりとした丘を超えて、チェムルイシェフスクという村でマリオの車をタイヤを修理します。そこから先が道が悪いと思っていたのですが、アスファルト道が完成していて快適に走ります。途中からはダートの高速道路が始まって砂埃の中を進みまます。夕方になってモゴチャという町の郊外にあるカフェに泊まります。
